The day of the Oscars finally came. It closes the award season and fashion wise it was a very disappointing one. Only a couple of celebrities, like Taylor Swift at the Grammys, blew me away. I liked a lot of gowns that we saw at the red carpet yesterday, but I would change some details. Let’s check them out?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum – Zuhair Murad
O vestido Zuhair Murad é maravilhoso, mas não entendo o motivo de ter tirado a capa. Eu sei que ele é parecido com um usado pela Kate Hudson no ano passado, mas mesmo assim eu teria usado como foi apresentado no desfile.
This Zuhair Murad gown is gorgeous and I don’t understand why Jenna took the cape off. I know that it would be similar to one worn by Kate Hudson last year, but I would have worn the runway version.
Faith Hill – J.Mendel
Esse vestido faz parte da coleção do J.Mendel apresentada em Nova York na semana passada. Já tinha gostado dele na passarela e gostei mais ainda na Faith Hill.
This dress was on J.Mendel’s fashion show last week. I liked it when I saw it going down the runway and I liked it even more on Faith Hill.
Anna Faris – Zuhair Murad
Anna Faris, o que é esse cabelo?! Mude já! Prefiro o vestido na modelo, pois acho que não combinou muito com o tom de pele da atriz .
Anna Faris, what’s going on with your hair? Change it, please! I prefer the gown worn by the model, because I don’t think the color goes well with Anna’s skin tone.
Jennifer Lopez – Elie Saab
A Jennifer foi com um Elie Saab maravilhoso e eu só teria fechado um pouco o decote. Ela ficou de um tom só, mas isso não me incomoda muito.
This Elie Saab gown is perfection. I would’ve just shown less cleavage. The color of the dress matches her skin tone, but that doesn’t bother me much.
Gwyneth Paltrow – Ralph & Russo
Quando vi a primeira foto da Gwyneth não gostei da flor no ombro, mas no final da noite já estava achando o vestido lindo e elegante. Porém, acho que ela deveria ter ido com a versão do desfile. É mais bonita e “dramática” para o Oscar.
When I saw the first photo of Gwyneth I didn’t like the flower on the shoulder, but at the end of the night it turned into a pretty and elegant dress. However, I think she should have worn the runway version. It’s prettier and brings more drama to the Oscars.
Reese Witherspoon – Tom Ford
Me apaixonei pelo Tom Ford da Reese assim que ela pisou no tapete vermelho. Mas inventei de fuxicar o Instagram da stylist dela e estava escrito #babyblue em uma foto da atriz. Quanta decepção! Ainda bem que nas fotos da imprensa o vestido ficou parecendo branco, então, vamos continuar fingindo que ele é assim.
I fell in love with Reese’s Tom Ford gown when she walked down the red carpet. But I decided to check out her stylist’s Instagram page and I saw #babyblue written on a photo of Reese. What a deception! Thankfully, the dress looks white on media pictures, so let’s continue pretending it is!
Chrissy Teigen – Zuhair Murad
Chrissy, quando te dão a oportunidade de usar o vestido mais bonito da última coleção do Zuhair Murad, por favor, tenha postura e pratique as poses. Essa foi uma das melhores fotos dela na noite. A Chrissy só não “matou” o vesitdo, pois é uma tarefa impossível. Para uma cerimônia tão importante eu teria feito uma modificação: fechado o decote, como na versão de manga curta – vocês já perceberam que implico, né?!
If you are blessed with the honor of wearing the prettiest gown from Zuhair Murad’s latest collection please do it right. You got to have good posture and deliver a classy pose. This was the only photo that her posture and pose look goodish. Because it’s the Oscars I would have made a tiny change: it already has a slit, so I wouldn’t show any cleavage.
Emma Stone – Elie Saab
Sou apaixonada por vestidos bordados com fenda e decote nas costas. Quando ele é Elie Saab a paixão só aumenta. Só não consegui entender a escolha da cor. Eu acho que as pulseiras são totalmente dispensáveis e não gostei do Louboutin.
I love embellished gowns with a slit and open-back. When it’s an Elie Saab the love just grows stronger, but I just can’t understand why Emma chose that color. I also think she shouldn’t have worn the bracelets and I don’t like the Louboutin.
Rita Ora – Marchesa | Jessica Chastain – Givenchy
Dois casos de vestidos que ficariam melhor em outra pessoa. Entre os dois, gosto mais do vestido da Rita. O que é essa sandália usada pela Jessica? Pode demitir a pessoa que falou que era apropriada.
Two dresses that would have looked better one someone else. Between the two, I prefer Rita’s gown. I don’t know who told Jessica that these sandals were appropriate. They are hideous and don’t go with the gown.
